IMPRS-RECHARGE

Welcome to the

International Max Planck Research School on Reactive Structure Analysis for Chemical Reactions
(IMPRS-RECHARGE)

The IMPRS on Reactive Structure Analysis for Chemical Reactions (IMPRS-RECHARGE) is a unique postgraduate training program founded in 2015 by the Max-Planck-Institut für Chemische Energiekonversion, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, Universität Duisburg-Essen and Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, which are all located in the district of Rhine and Ruhr in Germany. The IMPRS focuses on interdisciplinary research in chemistry/physics. Emphasis is on catalytic mechanism, physico-chemical analysis and related energy topics. The interplay of theory and experiment is the graduate school's vital aim.

International Max Planck Research Schools - in general

Since 2000 the International Max Planck Research Schools (IMPRS) have become a permanent part of the efforts of the Max Planck Society to promote doctoral/PhD students in Germany. The schools offer stuctured doctoral training under excellent research conditions. There are currently a total of 65 IMPRS, 28 of them in the chemical-physical-technical section, 25 in the biological-medical section and 12 in the human sciences section.
