Research areas: Synthesis of Nanoscale Materials, Material thin films, MOCVD-Process
The Schulz group is interested in the synthesis, structure and reactivity of inorganic and organometallic compounds including low-valent organometallics. Our studies focuse on their applicability as low-temperature (single source) precursors for the size- and shape-selective synthesis of nanoparticles in solution (classical organic solvents, ionic liquids) as well as the synthesis of one-dimensional (nanowire) and two-dimensional materials (film) by gas phase-based processes (MOCVD, ALD), in particular metals, semiconductors and thermoelectric materials.
